7.4.9. Weeds and fertilizing
Weeds compete with rice plants for nitrogen fertilizers applied in the field. When nitrogen fertilizers are applied in the field, the weeds grow fast like rice plants. The more vigorous the weeds growth, the greater the competition for nitrogen. Before appling nitrogen fertilizers, it is good for weeds to be removed in the field.
