  6.4. Random transplanting

In many countries in South and Southeast Asia, Random planting is commonly practiced in rainfed rice, particularly when traditional varieties are grown. In random planting, transplanting is done without definite distances or spacing between seedlings. After distributing seedlings, farmers transplant them randomly.
