5.5.1. Uniform growth
Rice seedlings should be raised uniformly. Good seedlings have uniform plant height and growth. Irregular seedlings come from unevenness in quality of seeds, distribution of seeds on the seedbed, germination, land preparation of the seedbed, watering, and availability of nutrients in the soil.
