10.2.2. Symptoms
The lesions or spots of blast are found on leaves, nodes, etc. Sheath blight causes necrotic areas mostly on the leaf sheath. Brown spot causes spots on leaves or grains. Bacterial blight causes water-soaked spots or water-soaked stripes on the margin of leaf. Viral diseased plants are stunted and the leaves are yellowish green or ragged.
